Aluminium Fabricator

An exciting opportunity exists for a reliable and efficient Aluminium Fabricator to join our vibrant Gisborne workshop.

DStevens has an established reputation for delivering high-quality, award-winning, and enduring construction, joinery and interiors projects. For 65+ years our teams have delivered a range of high-profile commercial, residential (new homes and renovations), and education building projects throughout Gisborne and the wider Tairāwhiti region.

This is an exciting time to be joining our team. We have an incredible list of projects ahead of us this year and are investing in a suite of new machinery to give us more time to do the fun stuff we enjoy, such as creating beautiful aluminium joinery and delivering top-notch customer service.

An Aluminium Fabricator is a key role within our workshop team. This role will suit a highly organised individual who has the ability to work independently as well as in a team. You will need to be highly agile and versatile, a quick learner, have a high degree of accuracy and be extremely efficient.

Your responsibilities as an Aluminium Fabricator will be varied and include manufacturing, assembly and installation of aluminium windows, doors, security screens, and louvres. You will also be involved with receiving, handling and storing materials around the workshop, and lifting to-and-from vehicles.

To be successful in this role you will have a proactive and positive attitude, a flexible and methodical approach, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should have exceptional craftsmanship skills and a high level of attention to detail. Experience with using hand tools and machinery for cutting, joining and fixing aluminium is preferred but not essential as ample training is provided.

This position is open to all candidates and is suitable for both entry-level or those wishing to expand their career.
