  • Managing Director

    Before being named Managing Director in 1998, Peter was DStevens' General Manager. With over 50 years of experience in the New Zealand building industry, Peter oversees the company's operations, ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects across Gisborne and the wider Tairāwhiti region. His deep industry knowledge and leadership of our construction team are key to driving the company's ongoing success.

  • Design Consultant

    Fiona has been with DStevens since 2013, bringing her expertise in creating interior spaces that foster a sense of belonging while reflecting our clients' unique visions. With a background in fashion and interior design, and a deep understanding of fabrics, textiles, and colour, Fiona consistently delivers spaces that are not only functional but also beautifully aligned with the aspirations of each project.

  • Workshop Lead – Timber

    Reuben leads a talented and creative team of joiners focused on the creation and delivery of bespoke joinery items and kitchens for our residential and commercial projects. His thoughtfulness, practicality and design ethos results in an ongoing commitment to excellence and strengthens our joinery offering.

  • Office Administrator

    Amy plays a vital role in keeping DStevens running smoothly. As Office Administrator, she manages day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient coordination across the company. Her organisational skills and friendly approach ensure seamless communication and support for both our team and clients.

  • Senior Joiner

    With over 40 years of experience as a qualified joiner, Glenn brings unparalleled technical expertise to DStevens. As a Senior Joiner, he has played a key role in crafting bespoke timber joinery for a wide range of projects, consistently delivering work of exceptional quality. Glenn's dedication to his craft has made him an invaluable member of our workshop team, ensuring that every project he works on meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Apprenticeships

Our commitment to the industry has seen us maintain and develop our apprenticeship programme to train the next generation.

Once on board, apprentices spend four years with us learning the tools of the trade first-hand in a supportive learning environment.

Skills learned cover the full range of construction activity, from on-site carpentry to detailed joinery work in our timber and aluminium joinery workshops.

At the end of their apprenticeship, DStevens apprentices have a thorough grounding in the trade, setting a strong foundation for a great future.
