Celebrating Our People

In 2020, Glenn Stichbury and Peter Stevens reached significant milestones in their anniversaries of joining DStevens – 35 years and 45 years respectively.

Although we had plans to celebrate last year, the onset of the global coronavirus pandemic meant we had to delay those plans until we could safely gather together again.

In early April 2021, we invited our team and their whānau to a special event at The Works Gisborne honouring Glenn and Peter’s achievements and their many contributions to DStevens over the years.

To acknowledge these outstanding milestones, DStevens worked with Auckland-based studio Walk In The Park to design a special gift. The result is an object of two intersecting spheres carved from a single piece of native tōtora wood. The two spheres work together to create an hourglass representing the passage of time – not only the time that has passed but also the future. The object also symbolises the individual and company coming together and working as one.

We are extremely proud of Glenn and Peter and would like to thank them for their many contributions over the years.
