DStevens Reports Improved Health & Safety Rating

In 2017, we undertook our first third-party health and safety assessment with Site Safe, achieving a SiteWise Green Status accreditation with a strong score of 82%. Over the last two years, we have worked to improve our efforts in health and safety across the company. From a greater focus on employee wellbeing to technology-enabled site safety solutions, we are working to raise the bar higher in workplace safety.

This years’ SiteWise reassessment reviewed new evidence of our company safety planning, protocols, monitoring of risks, training, incident reporting, and how we manage subcontractors. Each assessed criteria is ranked on a scale based on the evidence provided relative to best practice processes and procedures. A score of 75 to 100 is representative of a high performer. A score less than or equal to 49 is representative of a low performer. A score of 50 to 74 is representative of a medium performer.

We are pleased to report our overall assessment score for 2019 reached 88%, an all-time high and an acknowledgement that the health and safety processes established within the company are continually improving to meet an ever-changing workplace environment.

Lifting our score and maintaining Green Status for 2019 is encouraging that, as a company, we are headed in the right direction. We remain committed to implementing responsible practices in our workplace to make a positive impact on our team’s health, safety and well-being.
