Eastland Network

$0.00

Commercial – 2018

Eastland Network, the electricity lines company for Gisborne, Wairoa and the East Coast, embarked on an ambitious journey to recreate key areas of their workplace in Carnarvon Street while maintaining full occupancy of the building. DStevens worked closely with Pamela Hall of iDWorkshop to develop a series of new spaces that met their aspirations for a collaborative and distinct environment.

The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of meeting rooms, staff toilets and a kitchen and social breakout space. At the centre of the workplace is a new social and kitchen space, featuring retrofitted lamp post lighting, custom-made moveable bench seating and American oak shelving. The materials and colours selected, coupled with bespoke joinery units built by DStevens, responds to the client’s desire for a timeless and high-quality interior. This palette not only reflects the Eastland Network brand but connects to the adjacent workspaces seamlessly.

Our team rebuilt the existing meeting rooms with new glazed walls to provide better daylight and visual connection to the interior workplace. New toilet facilities were built alongside the existing facilities to meet the operational requirements of the brief.

Our team completed this project in multiple stages allowing full operation of Eastland Network to continue with minimal disruption to staff.
