DStevens to Close Rylock Gisborne

DStevens has made the decision to close Rylock Gisborne from 19 May 2026 and will no longer manufacture aluminium windows and doors.

This decision follows a review of our business and reflects a more focused approach to the work we are best placed to deliver.

Continuity for Clients

We are working closely with Fisher Aluminium, another Gisborne-based supplier of Altus window and door systems, to support continuity of aluminium joinery services locally. We are contacting our Rylock clients directly to confirm next steps for their enquiry or project.

DStevens will continue to stand behind completed aluminium joinery work, including warranties and defects obligations.

What This Means for DStevens

This change relates only to Rylock Gisborne.

DStevens continues to operate across construction, joinery, and interiors, and remains the local installer for Louvretec. Our team remains focused on delivering high-quality projects for clients throughout Tairāwhiti.

For our construction projects requiring aluminium windows and doors, DStevens will continue to work with a range of local suppliers and fabricators to ensure the right solution and competitive pricing for our clients.

The Rylock Gisborne Team

DStevens has represented the Rylock brand in Gisborne since 1970. Over that time, the Rylock Gisborne team has made a significant contribution to projects across Tairāwhiti.

From the early days of local aluminium fabrication through to today’s more complex window and door systems, Rylock Gisborne has delivered high-quality aluminium joinery across Tairāwhiti.

Ngā mihi to the team, both past and present, for more than five decades of quality workmanship and commitment. The team has been a valued part of the wider DStevens business, and we are grateful for the contribution they have made.

We also thank Altus for their support of Rylock Gisborne over many years and acknowledge their assistance through this change.
